Ahead of the highly anticipated release of “Avengers: Endgame” on Friday, mega fans of the franchise series were able to watch all 22 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe films in one sitting.
The 58-hour marathon screening was organized by the motion picture exhibitor National Amusements in 12 select Showcase Cinema theaters across the country.
“We are doing everything to make this the most exciting, comfortable viewing experience for this Marvel universe,” Mark Malinowski, National Amusements’ vice president of global marketing, told Cheddar in an interview Wednesday.
The company also organized meal plans, yoga breaks, and provided shower facilities in the theaters’ parking lots — all included in the screening's $90 ticket.
The fans “are truly immersed in every one of these films,” Malinowski said. “They are seeing these movies in a way that really is a celebration.”
“We have not seen anything like this. It is a true phenomenon,” he added.
